POCO F1 Don’t Support 720p and 1080p Amazon Prime Netflix Video
POCO F1 the first flagship smartphone by POCO under the sub-brand of Xiaomi. While the device comes with the latest 10nm Snapdragon 845 SoC packed with up to 8GB of RAM at the price starting from just Rs 20,990 has just come up with the sale in August 29th on India’s e-commerce site Flipkart has just recently come with a huge drawback as reported by Androidpure.
As talking about the drawback of the POCO F1, the device is actually missing some the HD playback support. And as due to this the users will not be able to experience the high-resolution HD videos of 720p or 1080p which we usually stream through Amazon Prime or Netflix videos. Instead, the users just get the online video experience just up to 540p resolution.
Now the question that may have arisen on your mind is why? As POCO F1 lags Widevine L1 DRM support (a DRM module which decrypts encrypted media) which we need to stream videos content from Amazon Prime or Netflix an which instead POCO F1 comes with Widevine L3 DRM which we usually find it over the budget smartphones like Vivo NEX. And which instead, Xiaomi won’t be able to fix this through an OTA update.
Check my own DRM Info:
- Go to Google Play Store and download and install DRM Info app
- Navigate to the app and get the details of the DRM info just as the screenshot above.
