After the success of various Redmi’s A series smartphones, in India. The company now launched a new entry-level smartphone named, Redmi 7A, with the tagline SmartDeshKaSmartphone.
While taking a few highlights, the Redmi 7A will be the first Redmi’s A series smartphone featuring an octa-core processor, 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor (which usually featured in mid-range smartphones), built-in FM Radio antenna and 2 years of warranty, starting at the price of just Rs.5,799.
Redmi 7A Specifications
On the specifications, the Redmi 7A features a 5.45-inch HD+ display of aspect ratio 18:9, with a polycarbonate back, available at four color options Matte Black, Matte Blue, and Matte Gold.
Under the hood, the Redmi 7A packs a 2GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor aided with an Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB RAM and storage options like 16GB and 32GB. Powered by 4000mAh non-removable battery. Running on latest Android 9.0 Pie custom layered MIUI 10 on top.
At the camera department, the Redmi 7A has been featured with a horizontally placed single rear camera setup of 12MP Sony IMX486 unit and a LED flash. The same camera sensor that we saw with the Mi A2 and Redmi Note 7. Over the front, the device features a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls.
On the security, the Redmi 7A will be offering an AI Face Unlock functionality instead of a fingerprint scanner and for connectivity options, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a Micro USB port. But lack the IR Blaster functionality.
Redmi 7A Price & Availability
On the pricing and availability, the Redmi 7A starts its sale from July 11 on the platforms Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores, where base variant, 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage comes priced at Rs.5,999 and higher variant 2 GB RAM + 32 GB storage gets priced at Rs.6,199.
Also, the good news, as Xiaomi celebrating its fifth anniversary in India, the consumers purchasing the Redmi 7A, this July will be getting an extra Rs.200 off and the Redmi 7A would cost just Rs.5,799 for the base variant and Rs.5,999 for higher variant.
