Xiaomi and Jio both have brought a great new change in the Indian market with its budget products, where Xiaomi today announced officially that there would be a certain hike on their two base products Redmi Note 5 Pro with the hike of Rs 1,000 and on its range of TVs in India with Rs 5,000 for the 55-inch Mi LED Smart TV 4 respectively.
Other than that Xiaomi has also stated in their official community forum post that the hike in price is only due to the rampant demand for there products and which the company is unable to manufacture as many PCBAs locally and due to which they are forced to import a significant number of PCBAs, and hence the price hike.
While after this hike the base variants of Redmi Note 5 Pro with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will now be available for Rs 14,999 instead of the launched price of Rs 13,999 and indeed of all the hike the 6GB RAM variant will still retail for Rs 16,999. On the other hand, the 55-inch Mi TV 4 will now be retailed at Rs 44,999 across Xiaomi's online and offline retail outlets. However, the devices which were already pre-booked will receive the device at the same old price and which will only be applicable to the new orders.
Since the hike of Redmi Note 5 Pro is not considered by Xiaomi fans and very unhappy and a number of fans already started responding threads which they felt to be cheated by the company.
