Xiaomi Redmi S2 expected with a 6-inch display, Snapdragon 625 SoC by May
Xiaomi after the recent launch of its two mid-range smartphones Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, it’s now all set to come up with another upcoming budget smartphone as Redmi S2 by May.
According to the latest report by GizmoChina, Redmi S2 which was already certified by TENAA has also got cleared by 3C certification agency in China with the model number of the Redmi S2 as M1803E6E along with other two variants as M1803E6T and M18033E6 as per the reports.
While the 3C certification agency didn’t reveal any specs instead the phone is confirmed to come with the support for 5V/2A charging.
However, after the TENAA certification and images leaked. The phone Redmi S2 resembles Redmi Note 5 Pro and is expected with the display of 5.9-inches with HD+ resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. Moving ahead with the camera the phone is also expected to come with dual rear camera setup of 12 MP and 8 MP sensor and front of 16 MP.
Other than that the phone is also expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, a battery of 3,000 mAh, Android 8.1 OS support with likely variants of 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage, 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage each with microSD card slot.
